I started the site two years ago simply for the fun of it. The intention being to have a small information source for locals and visitors. Since then the site has grown through requests from potential visitors and from locals sending me information to add.
It reached the point where the free hosting that I was using became unavailable because of the size of the site. What started as a little hobby taking up a few hours a week turned into a 3 or 4 hours a day maintenance job and a lot of corresponding with people from all over the world.
I kept going because I love the town and the area and like to think I am helping to show the world that it is an area worth a visit. Unfortunately through Ill health I am not able to work and am finding it increasingly difficult to meet all the costs of running the site. As the site has grown, so have the costs. I ask you to think whether the site is worthy of support and if you think it is then please make a small donation towards the costs, even £1 will help.
I would be very happy to receive a companies sponsorship and to add relevant advertising to the site
I just hope that some help is forthcoming or I will have no choice but to close the site within the next couple of months
