VEGETABLES THAT MAKE GOOD NEIGHBOURS

OR NOT!!!!!

SINCE LISTS OF WHICH GOES WELL WITH WHAT MAKE COMPLICATED READING (carrots, peas, beans, leeks, and turnips all agree well, for instance, but of these only carrots should be planted near onions and garlic), a table would seem the simplest thing to follow. It should be pointed out that in many cases it is not that A is particularly good for B, but that B is particularly good for A (parsley, for instance, doing more for asparagus than asparagus does for parsley),but this need not concern us when planting them near together. That some things actively dislike each other is perhaps more important than that others do each other good. We have added to the table certain other plants which are helpful or other wise to them.
