Another tiny village that at first seems insignificant but on closer inspection has many interesting little corners. Within easy reach from Barnstaple, Muddiford is one of those places that is worth a closer look. Just outside of the village there is the Broomhill hotel, sculpture gardens, art gallery and restaurant which is a fascinating and beautiful place to visit, set, as it is, in rural woodland it is very tranquil.

The Muddiford Inn is an ideal watering hole and the area is perfect for that calming walk in the countryside.
