North Buckland is situated 1 mile from the village of Georgeham and within 3 miles of Croyde and Woolacombe. It is a small farming hamlet surrounded by beautiful countryside and just a short distance from an area of outstanding natural beauty. One of the families here has farmed the area for 7 generations! There are about 15 properties including 2 working farms, some of the dwellings, including ours, dates back to before 1700. There are many excellent walks around and through the hamlet. For such a small place you can find local crafts in action like amazing wood craft of a very high quality including one-off mirrors (not factory made stuff); leather craft including saddles, bridles etc and gift cards. There are no shops, pubs or churches - unfortunately.
