TRENTISHOE exceedingly remote at the end of a rough lane, has a small church (St. Peter), rebuilt in 1861. Externally it is charming; internally it has been over restored and filled with bad Victorian woodwork. Heddon's Mouth is a fine piece of coastal scenery, but the hills on all the approach roads are formidable. Tattiscombe was a Domesday manor. |
